Using a CAN Bus, the AIM MyChron Expansion is a channel multiplier that adds more functionality to the already robust MyChron5 and 2T (also compatible with MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T). enables connectivity to the LCU-One Lambda system and SmartiCam HD by offering four extra channels and a CAN communication port. Through the use of an external battery and specialized cabling, this device can power itself and its linked peripherals. The expansion enables the collection of data from:

– Position sensor for the exhaust gas valve (essential as it enables the determination of the RPM value that opens the exhaust valve)
– Wheel speed sensor. In actuality, the first input on the left may also be set up as a digital channel.
– A non-contact sensor for the location of the brake pedal.

– A non-contact sensor for the location of the accelerator pedal (to determine if and when it is feasible to “push” more)
– Water temperature or temperature beneath the undercoat (only PT100 thermo-resistance sensor) – Brake pressure sensor
– Steering potentiometer (to indicate cases of understeer or oversteer)
– Potentiometers for the brake and accelerator pedals

MyChron5 is regarded as a comprehensive tool for the expert analysis of Kart data because of its unique features. Note that the gears are not calculated by MyChron Expansion.
