For open cockpit racing the Arai GP-7 SRC ABP Carbon Race helmet offers Advanced Ballistic Protection with a specification built around development of a unique advanced ballistic test, based on military specifications. Protection is provided against projectiles weighing up to 225 grams and travelling at 250kp/h. The eye port from the ABP version is lowered by 10mm.
The new GP-7 SRC is an absolute masterpiece of Arai engineering, performance and comfort. It also conforms to the new FIA standard 8860-2018, which is intended to be the safest in the world for top-end helmets used in motor sports and an advance on FIA 8860-2010.
The visor aperture of the helmet features enlarged dimensions, providing a wider and deeper field of vision. It includes a 3mm compound curve visor, which is compatible with tear-offs that come with the helmet.
For ventilation, the Arai GP-7 SRC ABP Carbon Race Helmet is equipped with five inlets—two on the chin bar and three adjustable scoops—and two outlets on the crown. The crown vents have a 25% increase in diameter, ensuring improved comfort and enhanced airflow for clearer visibility through the visor.
Additionally, the helmet comes with the renowned Arai Performance Enhancement Device (PED) spoiler kit and is supplied with factory-installed HANS/FHR posts. The helmet shell is finished in a clear coat, allowing for custom painting or lacquering to highlight the visible carbon weave.
Please note that the Arai GP-7 SRC ABP Carbon Race Helmet is delivered without any top vents fitted (the vent holes remain open). Included in the helmet packaging is a set of various ventilation ducts, allowing the driver to choose the most suitable option based on their driving position and personal preference. The included parts are as follows:
– Performance Enhancement Device (PED) kit (front and rear spoiler set)
– Screw Kit (4 Torx screws, 4 washers, and 1 pressure plate set)
– Vent Kit (7 tear ducts, 2 TDF3 ducts, and 1 XDB2 duct)
– Post anchor set
– Torx (T20) screwdriver
– Sticker set (2 stickers measuring 11cm, 2 stickers measuring 9cm with masking film for custom painting, and 2 stickers measuring 5.5cm)
