The Arai GPV-R 8859-2024 motorsport helmet is engineered for drivers who demand the highest levels of safety, performance, and comfort on track. Designed to meet the latest FIA 8859-2024 homologation and Snell SA2025 certification, this helmet is ideal for a wide range of motorsport disciplines including circuit racing, GT, touring cars, and track day use.
At the core of the GPV-R is Arai’s signature round and smooth shell design, developed to maximise impact deflection and reduce rotational forces. The newly refined shell shape features a lower visor pivot point, creating a larger uninterrupted surface area above the visor to improve the helmet’s ability to glance off impacts — a key factor in advanced motorsport safety.
The PB-cLc (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction) shell offers an optimal balance of strength, rigidity, and lightweight performance, making it one of the most trusted constructions in professional racing helmets.
Driver visibility is enhanced with a lowered eye port, increasing downward vision by approximately 8mm. This allows improved visibility of dashboards, steering wheels, and apexes without compromising structural safety — a critical advantage in competitive racing environments.
Comfort and fit are fully customisable thanks to Arai’s removable and adjustable interior liner system. With multi-density foam padding and removable sections, drivers can fine-tune the fit for maximum comfort during long stints. The interior is made from flame-retardant materials, meeting strict motorsport safety requirements.
The GPV-R also features an advanced ventilation system, with repositioned intake vents for improved airflow and cooling. This helps reduce heat build-up and keeps drivers focused under pressure.
For professional use, the helmet includes pre-installed FHR (Hans) posts and is compatible with communication and hydration systems, making it race-ready straight out of the box.
